Mexican Chocolate Stout

Eagle Park Brewing Company needed a new label design for their specialty Mexican style stout beer. I was hired to illustrate a label that playfully celebrated Mexican culture while headlining the flavor of the Mexican Chocolate Stout.

My design approach was a hand drawn, pen to paper, Dia De Los Muertos scene with skeletons enjoying the beer. I then scanned my drawings and digitally colored the illustration. As an Easter egg, the musical notes sing the song La Bamba by Ritchie Valens, paying tribute to the energy of Mexican Culture.
